Archive for November, 2008:
great weight lifted, thanks
Just felt a great weight lift today around 3:20 PM, GMT -3 (11:20 am in Memphis). Like, I felt good. It was weird. I had just spent some time praying with a couple of friends. But this wasn’t the kind of psychological relief like, “Hey, I got a raise,” or “I got accepted to the Doctoral program.” It was more like a fresh breeze blew through my soul.
I just thought it right and fitting to say thank you.
Thank you.
Getting out to play
Facebook has taken over my internet world so much so that I have not bothered with this blog business for some time. But celebrating the fact that Scribefire works, I lay here on my very uncomfortable love seat writing this. It is like I have been living inside a virtual world inside a virtual world, and now I have moved out of that world into this virtual world, one step closer to the “real world.”
A year or so ago I had this dream where I was living life and just for four or five seconds I sat back and became “unplugged” from my reality. It turned out I was sitting in a room with close friends and we were all staring through goggles into computers. I was able to look around the room and then I looked back into the goggles and just forgot the room existed.
So, that was fun.
Well, it works…
Today I read about Stefanyshyn-Piper and a really lousy thing that happened to her.
She lost her tool bag.
In space.
“Now where did I put those plyers? Andromeda? Orion’s Nebula?”
Well, it works…
I am back in the game. I randomly tried it today to show my daughter that Scribefire doesn’t work for me, and whoo-boy, it worked. My final excuse for not blogging has just gone by the wayside. Look for more Thoughts in the Key of Z coming soon.
